Made in Bangladesh Expo 2025 Concludes Successfully in Jeddah
The Made in Bangladesh Expo: Saudi Arabia Edition 2025 concluded successfully in Jeddah, marking a significant milestone in promoting Bangladesh’s export potential and strengthening trade and investment engagement with Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region.
The three-day international trade exhibition was held from December 11 to 13, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel. The expo featured the participation of 40 export-oriented Bangladeshi companies, including seven firms nominated by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
Diverse Sectors, Strong Market Response
Exhibitors represented a wide range of priority sectors, including ready-made garments (RMG), agro and halal food products, ICT and digital services, plastics, jute and jute diversified products, as well as real estate and hospitality investment services. The strong diversity of offerings allowed buyers and investors to explore Bangladesh’s expanding manufacturing and services ecosystem under one roof.
Impressive Trade and Investment Outcomes
According to the organisers, the expo generated confirmed export orders worth USD 475,000, alongside confirmed investment commitments amounting to USD 546,000, primarily in the real estate and hospitality sector. Furthermore, prospective business deals valued at approximately USD 1.25 million are currently under negotiation through post-expo follow-up discussions.

High Visitor Engagement and B2B Networking
The event attracted over 1,000 trade visitors, including Saudi and GCC buyers, importers, distributors, investors, sourcing agents, and representatives from various business councils. During the exhibition:
- 23 formal trade enquiries were officially recorded
- 55 structured B2B meetings were conducted
- More than 200 new business contacts were established between Bangladeshi exporters and regional buyers
These outcomes underscored the expo’s effectiveness as a practical business matchmaking platform rather than a purely showcase-driven event.
High-Level Participation Enhanced Credibility
The expo was inaugurated by the Honourable Consul General of Bangladesh in Jeddah, Md Shakhawat Hossain. The closing ceremony was graced by Osama Kokandi, Chairman of the Saudi Economic Council, as the chief guest—an endorsement that organisers say significantly enhanced the event’s credibility and regional outreach.
Positioning “Made in Bangladesh” as a Trusted Brand
Speaking at the post-event Meet the Press programme, Md Liton Ahmed, Founder and Chairman of the Made in Bangladesh Expo™ and the Global Trade Promotion Council of Bangladesh (GTPCB), said the core objective of the expo was to position “Made in Bangladesh” as a reliable and competitive sourcing brand in the Middle Eastern market.
He highlighted that buyers from Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries showed growing interest in Bangladeshi products due to competitive pricing, improved compliance standards, and the opportunity for direct sourcing from manufacturers. He further noted that the Saudi market offers long-term partnership potential, moving beyond short-term or spot-based transactions.
Looking Ahead
Organisers confirmed that the Made in Bangladesh Expo™ will be expanded to other key international markets in the coming years. This strategic expansion aims to support export diversification, attract foreign investment inflows, and reinforce Bangladesh’s national branding strategy on the global stage.
The successful conclusion of the Saudi Arabia Edition 2025 reinforces Bangladesh’s growing footprint in the GCC market and signals strong momentum for future trade-focused initiatives under the “Made in Bangladesh” banner.
